Prospecting geologist (geologist of the exploration team)
Requirements:
- higher or vocational geologic education and training
- work experience over 5 years
- management experience
- proficiency in the effective legislation and statutory documents relating to exploration of placer gold deposits
- proficiency in the procedure of exploration works
- experience in dealing with GPS-navigators
- experience in field works
Duties:
- perform procedural and organizational management of core-drilling for placer gold exploration and prospecting works
- keep geologic records
- process data
Drilling technician
Requirements:
- vocational (technical) education and training
- work experience over 3 years
- work experience in operating an URB-4T drill unit
- proficiency in the core-drilling procedure
- proficiency in the following fields:
- application, arrangement, rules of installation, dismantling, exploitation of drilling and power equipment
- arrangement of a tractor and a self-propelled unit, rules of exploitation and repair
- classification and properties of mine rocks
- geological and technical plan for a drill hole
- instruction for sampling and storing test cores
Duties:
- operate an URB-4T drill unit mounted on a skidder
- install, dismantle, transport, adjust and prepare drilling equipment for operation
- plan area for installation of drilling equipment
- manage the drilling process in accordance with geologic conditions
- detect and rectify impairments and faults in the work of the exploited equipment, take part in repair works
- sample test core and mine rocks, identify the hardness of mine rocks for drillability
Assistant driller
Requirements:
- vocational (technical) education and training
- work experience over 2 years
- proficiency in the application and arrangement of instruments and equipment used at drilling works
Duties:
- perform repair works and technical service of drilling equipment and instruments under the drilling technician’s supervision
- render timely assistance to the drilling technician at preparation and performance of drilling works
Cleanup man (of geological samples)
Requirements:
- vocational (technical) education and training
- work experience over 2 years
- proficiency in the following fields:
- properties and macro-showings of minerals and accompanying minerals in concentrate
- the procedure for processing, marking, keeping records of QC samples
- panning work experience
Duties:
- wash and upgrade QC and mass samples in pans, dippers, washing and upgrading equipment and units;
- process, mark and keep records of QC samples.
